Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 2026
Green Comfort Systems wants every visitor to be able to find information, understand what we do, and request service — regardless of how they use the web. This page explains the standard we work toward, what we have done, what we know is still imperfect, and how to reach us if something on this site gets in your way.
The standard we work toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the benchmark most widely referenced for public-facing websites in the United States. We describe this as a target rather than a certification: we have not commissioned a formal third-party conformance audit, and we would rather tell you that plainly than display a badge implying an assessment that has not happened.
What we have built into the site
- Semantic headings in a logical order, so screen readers and skim-readers can navigate structure rather than guessing at it.
- Meaningful alternative text on images that carry information, and no important content delivered by image alone.
- Keyboard access to interactive elements — navigation, dropdowns, forms and buttons — with visible focus styling.
- Colour combinations chosen for contrast, and never colour alone to convey meaning.
- Form fields with associated labels, and errors described in text rather than signalled only by colour.
- Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed or viewed on a small screen.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference, so animation is suppressed for visitors who ask for that.
Known limitations
Being honest about the gaps is more useful than claiming there are none:
- Some third-party components — financing applications, review widgets, mapping and scheduling tools — are supplied by outside providers, and we do not control their markup. Where one of these creates a barrier, call us and we will complete the task with you directly.
- Older blog posts migrated from our previous website may have inconsistent heading structure or incomplete alternative text. We correct these as we find them.
- Documents such as PDFs published by manufacturers or rebate programs may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will provide the information in another format.
You never have to use this website to get service
Every form on this site has a human alternative. If any part of it is difficult to use, call 410-807-8556 during business hours and a person will take the details, answer questions, and book the appointment. We can also take service requests by email and, if it is easier for you, arrange for a technician to confirm details verbally at the property rather than through a written form.
Telling us about a problem
If you run into a barrier — a page that does not work with your screen reader, a control you cannot reach with a keyboard, text you cannot enlarge enough, anything at all — we want to hear about it. It is genuinely useful feedback and it is the fastest way for us to fix something.
Reaching us:
- Phone: 410-807-8556
- Online: our contact page
- In person or by post: 8227 Philadelphia Rd, Rosedale, MD 21237
It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what technology you were using (browser, screen reader, or other assistive software) — but please do not let missing details stop you from getting in touch. We aim to respond within two business days, and if a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you what we are doing and offer another way to complete what you were trying to do in the meantime.
How we keep this current
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site as we add pages and features, we correct issues reported to us, and we revisit this statement when something material changes. This page was last reviewed in September 2026.
