Backflow Testing & Installation FAQs

Why do I need backflow testing?

A backflow preventer stops water flowing backwards from irrigation, boiler fill, or similar systems into the drinking supply. Most water authorities require periodic testing on properties that have one, and will write to you when a test is due.

How often does it need testing?

Typically annually, but the interval and the paperwork are set by your water authority rather than by us. We confirm the current requirement for your jurisdiction instead of quoting a general rule.

What happens if the device fails?

It gets repaired or replaced and then retested. Many failures are a worn check or relief valve rather than the whole assembly, so a rebuild is often the proportionate answer.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are not a 24-hour service — calls outside those hours reach voicemail and are returned the next business day.
